Transfer Your Domain

Moving an existing domain to SDL Technology doesn't change your website or email while the transfer is in progress, and typically completes within a few days. Before you start, make sure you've done the following with your current registrar:

• Unlocked the domain (sometimes called "transfer lock" or "registrar lock")
• Turned off WHOIS/ID privacy protection, if enabled, so contact details are visible
• Obtained the EPP code / auth code / transfer code (usually available in your current registrar's account settings)
• Confirmed the domain is at least 60 days past its original registration or last transfer (an ICANN-wide rule, not something we control)
